Anti-Wrinkle injections work by temporarily weakening the muscles responsible for developing facial expression lines caused by muscle activity.  This improves the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes, between the eyebrows and on the forehead. It can also slow the formation of new lines by preventing contraction of facial muscles.

Wrinkles form as our skin gets older due to a decrease in collagen production. This minimally-invasive, muscle relaxing, anti-ageing treatment is a quick, convenient, and pain free way to smooth out the following areas without the need for surgery.

As this is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment, the treatment will only take around 15 minutes. Very fine needles are used to inject the anti-wrinkle product in to the chosen areas. Many people say they cannot even feel the injections going in.  Anti-wrinkle injections typically last 3-4 months. As the effects wear off normal muscle action gradually returns, which is when you will want your next treatment. However, with time, the lines and wrinkles appear less severe.

The “Frozen” look is associated with the use of too much of the anti-wrinkle injection in one specific area. Therefore, this will not happen on my watch! If you have however had this happen previously, I can assure you it is not permanent, therefore the effect of the anti-wrinkle injections will dissipate over time. During the pre-treatment assessment, you should let me know about your medical history, allergies, or medical conditions before your procedure. ​As with any injection, although it is very rare, it is possible for the procedure to result in infection, pain, swelling, burning and stinging, increased sensitivity, tenderness, redness, and/or bleeding/bruising at the site of injection.
